- Research in applied ML for computational biology / molecular design.
- Designed and built Large Language Model distributed training system in JAX. Enabled T5 architectures via T5X, up to 5x training throughput speedup, superior ML algorithm expressiveness and data-scaling.
- Delivered model/method that significantly outperformed existing methods in molecular design.
- Introduced decoder-only generative LLM and fine-tuning algorithm for active-learning molecular design.
